"Continuous disappointment leaves you heartsick, but a satisfied desire is sweetness to the soul." (Proverbs 13:12)
Life does not come without trial and error, or disappointments and struggles. Yes, these things are present at times even when we are exactly where we should be, doing exactly what we're meant to be doing and believe it or not, even when we're doing what's best for us.
On the other hand, neither does life come without accomplishments and victory, or reward and sweet blessings.
Every down has an up, for every sorrow there is a counter-balance of rejoicing, for every wound there is healing, for every disappointment we walk through there is a fulfillment awaiting us that is more beautiful to the heart than what we originally hoped for.
In life, nearly everyone of us will go through a season of what feels like there's nothing but one disappointment and struggle after another. Oftentimes, what we don't always realize at the onset of those seasons is the power within ourselves to move us through onto higher ground much more quickly than the pace we oh-so-often move through it at. By allowing our faith to lift us above the adversities with a positive attitude we conquer the snares of hindrance and delay.
I hear the Lord saying, "This current situation is only temporary. Do not look upon it as if it is permanent. It is not. Do not affix your gaze upon it as so you become hopeless and feeling stuck in this one position. You are in transition. Transition takes time in some cases. There are preparations to be made that must be secured for your benefit. There are other people who must become situated as well, before you can make a complete transition in the natural. Do not give into despair, for even this season, as drawn out as it may seem, holds much gold and many useful and valuable lessons that will become your launching pad into the future you have hoped for and desired in the deepest longings of your heart. Some of those longings you have not shared with anyone else except Me, for you have been fearful of failure or at moments of being laughed at for having such seemingly great and unreachable dreams for your future. I'm telling you to confess your dreams, knowing that I am more than able to fulfill them. You are as great as the greatest, for you are equally my child as is the greatest of all. You are no less and you have no less of Me within you, surrounding you, and going before you. Fear not! Fear not, because I am within you. Fear not because I am for you. Fear not because you are Mine and have the same victory I have. Fear not because you are not one to be laughed at, rather you are one to be celebrated. You are accepted. You are loved. You are moving forward, not backward. You are Mine!
Allow this time to teach you. It has a purpose for you. It has a purpose for the people who are in your future. Everything you are walking through at this time has a purpose and is valuable. Do not disregard any of this season; where you are; what you are doing, or even what you deem as the lack of what you are doing. All of it is within the course of the plan I have established for you and nothing is in vain or of no purpose. Choose to find the purpose daily and choose to find the praise report daily - for doing so will catapult the plan into the swiftness of what it is, without delaying it through carnal thoughts which only serve to sway you off the more direct route.
Choose to allow your heart to know, I hold your destiny in My hands and you are on course and in the favorable timing. Therefore celebrate each day as if you belong right where you are - right now in this time of your life, and are near to; in fact - at the very brink of - receiving the greatest breakthrough and gift you could ever imagine possible! So PRAISE YOUR WAY TO THE NEXT ASSIGNMENT!"
Hope will lift us above the facts of our circumstances and allow us to see from the perspective of God's truth. When we view our life and the world around us from the higher perspective of truth above and beyond the mere facts (which get upclose and personal in our faces), we can then latch onto the promises as our greater reality.
We may not be able to control situations and circumstances but we do have the ability to recognize whether or not they are making us heartsick or establishing a sweet fulfillment to the heart and we are always given the choice to do what truly brings health and delight to the heart and soul. Keeping in mind, that what may develop over time as the best for us may not always be the easiest journey for the time being.
In other words, hasty decisions are usually made from the emotions at hand, rather than well thought through truths. Emotions are ever-changing with good days or bad days, and as far as that goes, sometimes our emotions are influenced even upon simply hearing a song on the radio!!
Within the depths of the heart is where truth and destiny reside, therefore, it's not wisdom to base life-changing decisions upon temporary emotions, rather, listen to what you know without a shadow of a doubt within your heart of hearts - for the Lord has written the truth upon the tablets of the heart.
