The Golden Rule isn't merely a nice idea, it's origin is scriptural. (Matthew 7:12)
It's direction from the Lord as to what our foundation should be in our interaction with one another. God is love. Therefore as Believers in Him we ought to love ourselves because we are the dwelling place for His spirit, and if His love be within us we should also love others with the same love as we love ourselves.
I don't claim to have this anywhere close to being perfected in my own lifebut it is the desire of my heart. ❤
....For God so loved the world..., there is no greater gift than love. Continuously in our responses, decisions, etc., we should be asking ourselves two questions; what does Love (God) look like? What would Love do? :)
